The Water Treatment Plant has its own laboratory. Your drinking water is tested in the lab repeatedly for water quality assurance and to make sure your drinking water meets the Safe Drinking Water Regulations established by The Environmental Protection Agency (US. EPA) and the Georgia Department of Environmental Protection Division (GA. EPD). Several Lab tests are performed on a daily basis. Making sure your water is at the highest quality of drinking water is our main goal.

Filtration:

This is a Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) Filtration plant, the only plant of its kind located in the State of Georgia.

The Water Treatment Plant consists of Four D.E. Filters which will filter out small minute particles at a rate of 800 gallons per minute each filter. The plant was designed to treat up to 6 million gallons a day but currently permitted for 4.5 million gallons a day.
